Just before we open for realz, tragedy strikes!!

The landowner of Viana Islands apparently took beef with our parcel owner and unceremoniously booted and returned all of the stuff on it. Yikes! We got hit with a flying store >.<

Thus, I give you today's sparkle-slam. . .

:) At least it's pretty :-p

Anyhow, Persnickity, Volt and several other stores went poof with the same amount of what-the-hellery. I heard a report that Volt was told she would not be refunded 2 weeks tier as the owner responded "It's my estate, I'll do what I want."

Annnyhow...all crappiness aside - we WILL be following Volt to her new location, and we WILL continue bringing you fun treats for just a few L$..AND...

We are featured at the closing day of gay pride (hosted by Best of SL) - it's the only place to get our rainbow bear hold and chair...don't miss it!!!

Also...any freebs due to you (April) will be delivered by SOM...so if you aren't subscribed, stay tuned for pickup locations!!

Lunching at Shape it Up!!

So. . . Sileny and Alexx opened Shape it Up today, and I was lucky enough to get an invite...and lemmee tell you..party central. It was a total blogger who's who with Sil (The Sweet Side) and okrebecca (Snarky Shopper) among those partying. Of course...I wanted to sample the snax. . .

..Later, I tried on a girly shape....with boy skin don't I look a little like Ellen Degeneres...?

Griffin's is Moving and Morphing!

Hello Lovlies!

Just a heads up here to tell you some most wonderful news. Griffin's is moving on up! No not to the east side, to somewhere much better, and that's on the Viana Islands sim! Yes the lovely Volt has given us the opportunity to place the new main shop on her fantastic sim. This is not just a move, this is a whole revamp. New look, new logo, new store, new products aaaand dun da da daaaah a new name!

Persnickity is the beautiful butterfly that morphed from the cutest, sweetest caterpillar that was Griffin's. Persnickity is not just limited to mouth treats, it's expanding to present themed accessories, furniture and more on a whole new level!!!! The main store decor is couture retro carnival, colorful and warm. We're going to focus on storybook chic items and a nature/science union that's going to be second to none.

Go have a peek and see for yourself, it's still under construction at the moment but I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Stay tuned because Leaf has tons of tricks up his sleeve and there's lot's more to come. I'll give you a little teaser....1)major event, 2)entourage of Persnickty characters and a SALE......

You know,

I keep encountering, in my perusal of blogs, so much needless idiocy and hate. Thus, I'm going to take some time to mention some people I lurve. . .

BLOGS:

Sileny Noel - I have had the pleasure of meeting Sileny, and will openly admit that I was so impressed by her charm and wit that I leaped at the chance to tease her by rising to her Burton Cupcake challenge. Since then, I've grown to consider her a friend. You'll see her as the vendor model for my Tubular Cupcake . . .which should be out tonight.

"Taz" Tomsen - Another blogger that I've come to regard as a close friend. Taz is one of the sweetest people I know. If you haven't had the distinct pleasure of meeting her, I would suggest whole-heartedly that you do. She is as warm and caring as she is quirky - though I am STILL not making a GaGa cupcake, woman! >.<

Azia Lunasea - Good lord. I've known Azia for AGES. Though I've dropped characters for a fresh start here and there, Azia and I always find each other by accident. Each time it reminds me that next time I *MUST* remember to tell her I'm morphing. I always fail. Still. . .at this rate, it must be fate, right?

Stores:

Sn@tch - Ivey Deschanel is one of the most amazing people I have met. Every time I have had a question or an issue, she has been extraordinary. Her staff is friendly, quippy and hilarious! I love the new store, too! Not only is Ivey among the most approachable and talented designers I've met, but her circle is just as gravy. As a matter of fact, I met not only Azia, but also Gecko through her. My one complaint: If you have a party and invite Ivey and Rob. . .plan to be outdressed - Every time!

Armidi - Male hair that doesn't look like it was forged in a biker bar. Go Armidi!

Shiny Things - Oooh...Shoes that don't suck or give out landmarks to their mainstore. (A personal pet peeve of mine when I blow several thousand L$ on shoes...what am I paying for, a demo?) Shiney things is great because you get exactly what you pay for (or more), every time, no fail.

UncleWeb - See previous reasons for Armidi, only add that there are some SMEXY freebs at the front desk...oooh!

Necrosis - Belladonna Mureaux is intellegent, fun, and talented. Her designs are edgy and inspired. I am also impressed with how much better each of her releases is than the one before it. Fabulosity!

Volt - Voltaire...Voltaire...wow. Voltaire is like a sassy, sexy Santa. . .She's constantly surprising me with things. To date, she has randomly given me clothes, accessories, teleports to interesting spots, a hot pink handgun, three babies (don't ask) and best of all, her friendship. I'm feeding her a lot of cupcakes these days. Be aware - a Volt themed freeb is coming soon!!

Carrah Rossini - One for my first SL creation love affairs. Carrah is probably my oldest friend on SL. I would say the name of her company...but I can never remember how it's spelled. Ananiki? Annaniki? Um. . .it's on Dreamfall. Her airships are...pure elegance. Not only are they gorgeous, but the ample seating and perfect textures are often the setting of parties for the toy-loving socialite crowd.

Sinful Paragon - Setsuna Itamae has created a fun skin line, and some snazzy t-shirts to boot. The best part is that they have a very different look than a lot of the skins on SL. My favorite is her male caramel. . .mmm bishounin.

Aitui - My favorite male skins, hands down. I like that they are edgy, and not as commonly worn as the sexy (but wayyyy too popular) Abyss skin. Now watch everyone start wearing Aitui. . .nammit! >.<

Ok. . .there's plenty more, to be sure. For the moment, however. . .My boss has this funny idea about me doing work.

Tubular - To the MAX!

So. . .

I was just walking across campus, and was amused to note that one of our summer residents had the suite window open, and was blaring music from his or her room. The interesting part was that the music playing didn't boast the pronounced 4/4 beat so common on the radio, but rather. . .could it be? Power chords???

I lurked closer (Yes, sometimes I lurk), only to discover that the music was not only dated, but CARBON dated!

Jesse's Girl was pouring from the sash - free, proud and unrestrained in a bright, clear morning that was trying dillgently to feel like early summer, or perhaps late fall.

For a moment, it was 1981. The campus was packed with big hair and parking-lot smokers. Rick Springfield was a name people recognized, and a cloud of Aquanet hung low over the grass.

Realistically, in 1981 - I was 4.

Still, I "remember" the 80's from the brat-pack movies my sister watched - sprawled on the floor, with her ankle socks swaying in the air, and her synthetic pink sweater marking her as one of the prettiest pastel princesses I knew. We were carefree and charmed, and oblivious to the recession. We jammed to the Bangles, and mused over which was better: The Facts of Life, or Silver Spoons. . .

Grand Opening X3!!!

Omigah!

BUSY week! First, a total rush to get Griffin's at Palmetto open and stocked, test the treats for bugs and generally go nuts. I feel like Willy Wonka..only..yunno...cuter ;)

For those of you who came out, thank you!! Excellent to meet you all, and I have to admit..I loved all the friends requests. Over the weekend over one THOUSAND people came to visit! LOVE it!!

On that note, if you didn't join the SOM, do!! I just sent out some really cool chances for free stuff!!!

1. We have a photo board. If you send me a pic and I post it, you'll get a free nom of your choice (or hey, you can even have a copy of the giant bear if that's your thing. . .poseballs sold seperately..by..poseball people ;))
